Financial Aid Information

PCSC Financial Aid Program 2022.23

The Park City Soccer Club offers need-based financial aid ranging from $180 to $1080 annually.

  • Uniform kits may also be provided, based on the level of the financial aid award
  • Previous-year recipients need to re-apply each year and the previous year’s attendance, commitment and volunteer hours will be considered for future awards
  • Additional funds may be available to assist with the cost of travel (out-of-state) tournaments, only if monthly balances are paid and up-to-date
  • Financial aid recipients are responsible for their portion of tournament fees (up to $45) for local tournaments
  • The information in financial aid application is strictly confidential; families will be asked permission to disclose their recipient status to their team coach and manager to facilitate tournament and other assistance.


ELIGIBILITY

As a non-profit organization, the goal of the Park City Soccer Club financial assistance program is to assist low-income families or families with extraordinary temporary circumstances. Awards will be made based on the following criteria: 

  • Household income
  • Employment of both spouses or partners
  • Extenuating circumstances, such as medical or family hardships 


AWARD LEVELS

Level 1.  Award of $185 - $510 per participant, based on age of player and corresponding program fees.

  • After required registration fee of $50 + UYSA fees ($82.25 - $102.25), payment would range from $101-$135 per month over 9 months (HS age players would be over 6 months)
  • Uniform kits are additional; requests for assistance may be considered
  • U8 Foundation players receive an $185 award, with a required registration fee of $50 + UYSA fees ($9.25), payments would be approximately $40 per month for 9 months

Level 2.  Award of $280 - $775 per participant, based on age of player and corresponding program fees.

  • After required registration fee of $50 + UYSA fees ($82.25 - $102.25), payment would range from $80-$105 per month over 9 months (HS age players would pay slightly more over 6 months)
  • Uniform kits are included
  • U8 Foundation players receive an $280 award, with a required registration fee of $50 + UYSA fees ($9.25), payments would be approximately $29 per month for 9 months

Level 3.  Award of $390 - $1080 per participant, based on age of player and corresponding program fees.

  • After required registration fee of $50 + UYSA fees ($82.25 - $102.25), payment would range from $55-$71 per month over 9 months (HS age players would be over 6 months)
  • Uniform kits are included
  • U8 Foundation players receive an $390 award, with a required registration fee of $50 + UYSA fees ($9.25), payments would be approximately $16 per month for 9 months

**At all levels, monthly payments can be reduced by at least $20 per month after required volunteer hours are complete.


FINANCIAL AID PHILOSOPHY

Park City Soccer Club is working to promote and develop a broad range of soccer opportunities that enhance character, community, and the love of the game of soccer for local youth. Integrated in this mission is the building of self-esteem, self-confidence, teamwork, respect for self and others, and all the inherent benefits of physical exercise. Park City Soccer Club is committed to:

  • Providing service, charitable support , and education to the community it serves.
  • Providing increased opportunities for children to participate in soccer through  financial assistance to  those families that have a documented financial need.

FINANCIAL AID REQUIREMENTS

 Upon accepting financial aid, athletes and families must agree to the following:

  • To provide 10 hours of volunteer service for Park City Soccer Club
  • Provide a volunteer deposit of $200 (built into the annual fee) which will be reimbursed upon completion of the required 10 hours and submission of the volunteer reimbursement form provided at registration (and available at parkcitysoccer.org)
  • That any family of PCSC who does NOT complete 10 volunteer hours or DOES NOT return their reimbursement form on time, forfeits their volunteer deposit
  • To receive and respond to communications by the Team Manager and Coach
  • To remain committed to the team for the entire year including Fall and Spring seasons and the winter training schedule
  • To make an initial payment upon registration of $50 + UYSA fees ($82.25 - $102.25... $9.25 for U8 players)
  • To pay the monthly balance due on time according to the payment plan agreement
  • That the cost of replacement uniforms are the responsibility of the financial aid recipient
  • That, should the athlete leave the team, their name will not be released from the roster until balances are paid in full and uniforms purchased by the Club are returned
  • To abide by the Player’s Code of Conduct and Parent’s Code of Conduct, which is issued at registration
  • To receive financial aid in subsequent years, the athlete must reapply and have no outstanding balance owed PCSC
  • That should these items be violated, financial aid recipients risk losing their financial aid
